Politics and Me

This is my first REAL post and in it I will encourage everyone to PLEASE VOTE in this upcoming election. If you have any sense of decency, you will vote for Kerry instead of Bush. Bush is an example of everything that is wrong with this country and the world.

-- Eric

(I'm not a huge Kerry fan but Bush is a disgrace to this nation)

My mom and I discussed this a few weeks ago; Kerry is a dumbass and so is Bush. If Mickey Mouse ran I would vote for him, as would probably half the nation. However Mouse cannot run due to being a cartoon character and such; so I would probably vote for the canadate whose bite is worse than his bark when it comes to defending our Nation. I mean yeah this whole hunting for terrorist stuff is pretty f*cking stupid considering it's been going on for so long, but if someone f*cks with the US you know Bush is going to be like, *in a southern accent* "You stepped on my train set dumbass, now I'm gonna hog tie ya and shove a pop rocket up you ass." Unfortunatly he would do that with EVERYTHING, but he would at least do it when someone decides to bully the US. Kerry on the other hand seems like more of a flake then Bush, he seems so indecisive just from looking at his voting past. I personally dislike BOTH canadates, but I want someone who is going to stand firm and kick ass when push comes to shove, even though he's a redneck dumbass. Of course that only was about 15 minutes of thought with my mom and I sided with her to keep her from crying.... so... I WANT MICKEY GOD D*MNIT!

VOTE "The Mouse" 2004!

Who ever votes for Bush because of some false sense of security from a "cowboy" is just a bobblehead. I mean if you're not pissed off about everything happeneing in the country and the world because of what this guy has done, you are not paying attention. Sure people say "well, we haven't gotten attacked since 9/11" Wake the fuck up, we weren't attacked before 9/11. Clinton stopped an attack that was supposed to happen on 12/31/99. They were planning an attack on LAX and the Spce needle, you know what it was stopped. Bush was warned about 9/11 and did nothing. Bush attacked an unarmed nation in Iraq and lost a lot of respect around the world. Bush has done nothing to keep us more secure since 9/11. The ports are not secure, the nuclear (or as Bush would say nu-q-lar) plants are not secure. There is no security guarding the nuclear missles in Russia, or anywhere else in the world. N. Korea is more of a threat than they ever have been. And this whole mess in Iraq has made us less secure because there are more terrorists than there have been before. Now Zarqaui is becoming a direct ally with Al Quaida. 1% of people thought the world would end in their lifetime, since Bush that number has jumped to 17%. This guy has done nothing for the country except give huge tax breaks to the upper class, and corporations, and running up huge deficits.
People say that Kerry didn't vote for the supplemental of the $87 billion. Well, Bush was the one that put them into harms way to begin with without properly thinking about anything. The $87 billion that Kerry originally voted for was one that would roll back some of the tax cuts to pay for it. Bush said he would veto it if it was going to roll back the tax cuts, he instead said he wanted a bill that borrowed more money from the tax payers, which put us further into debt.
Kerry did vote for the authorization, but, he said from day one that the pResident should let the inspectors finish, go back to the UN, and build a proper coalition, which Bush said he would, but, did none of those things, and he rushed to war, killed over 1000 of our troops, and who knows how many innocent Iraqis.
I could really go on and on about everything this President has done (or hasn't done) over the last 4 years. But that could take too long, and anyone who really wants to vote for him wouldn't be able to read that much anyway. I will just end with this. Ask yourself why instead of him stating his record and saying why he has done all of these great things and we need to give him an extra 4 years, he just attacks Kerry. He can't run on his record because he has none.

(1) Ernie: Taking a side just 'cause your parents told you to is wrong. You have a brain: use it and make your own decision. Sure, Kerry's not a lot better than Bush but at least he'll admit he screwed up. Bush refused to admit Iraq was a mistake. It WAS A MISTAKE. Almost everyone (except the President) agrees.
(2) Evan: Many good points. But you're wrong. We WERE attacked before AND after 9-11. You forget all the embassy bombings, the USS Cole, etc. Just to be fair to all sides.

Bush calls Kerry a flip-flopper, but I wonder... How many times has he changed his mind on something, and how many of those times has he ended up changing it back again? Changing your mind about something when additional facts come to light is a good thing. It shows that you're intelligent, thoughtful, adult enough to admit when you're wrong, and not stubborn.

P.S. Eric, he was talking about attacks on our own soil. (Yes, I know, an embassy is technically considered to be a part of the country it belongs to, but an attack on one does not qualify as an attack within our own borders.)

BTW, where I'm posting from, it's only 1:22 PM, you east-coast-centric boob.
