The Quagmire

The Quagmire describes my mind -- full of random bits of things all stuck together -- these things may include, but are not limited to: music, TV, movies, writing, reading, theatre, politics, religion, whatever.

The tickle in my throat....

.... is most irritating. I'm just back from a business trip to Lost Wages, Nevada and I think I'm getting sick. Ugh. Ecinacea time. I hope I spelled that right. I know nobody cares, but it was time for a blog post.

I notice this post title sounds like porn.

I've been reading a lot lately.

I wonder if they'll name the new hotel after me since I apparently paid for it with my losses.

I could develop a serious gambling problem if I lived in Vegas.

I just saw the Clooney/Pitt/Roberts version of "Ocean's Eleven" for the first time this weekend (TBS ran it a couple of times), and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I am a fan of the original as well.

I now know, however, that the opening credits from the James Caan TV series "Las Vegas" are ripped off from OE, which uses the exact same Elvis tune to accompany its first long, establishing shot of The Strip.

I connected once through the Las Vegas airport but I've never actually been to the city. My father and brother both raved about "Star Trek: The Experience," and I'm enough of a geek to enjoy it too. I also want to see M&M World. Pathetic, huh?

Hey, ST Experience was cool. However I wouldn't fly there JUST to see it. (But if you go, get the combo ticket and do BOTH!)
