Miami Tops Auto Club List for Rude Drivers

Well I know this will come as a surprise to absolutely nobody who has ever been to Miami, but we're now famous for drivers worse than New York and Boston. Worse? That doesn't even seem possible.

Excerpted from BETH RUCKER of Associated Press on May 16, 2006 3:53 PM EDT

Stressed Miami drivers speed, tailgate and cut off other drivers so frequently that the city earned the title of worst road rage in a survey released Tuesday. Also listed were Phoenix, New York, Los Angeles and Boston among the top five cities for rude driving.

Minneapolis, Nashville, St. Louis, Seattle and Atlanta were rated as the cities with the most courteous drivers, who were less likely to change lanes without signaling or swear at other motorists. No distinct differences were found between male and female drivers.

So, I will not even bother to draw a conclusion from this. These truths are self-evident.

Of course Miami drivers are worse. I learned that after doing the majority of my driving in Boston; Miami drivers are completely insane, and completely unpredictable. The insanity in Boston is at least predictable.

AHAHAHA - I'm glad I don't live in Miami. BUT New York does have it's fair share if car and road-challenged retards. I would like to say, I'm not one of them, and I've never expressed road rage; I've never flipped anyone off, swore at them, or anything! I usually just smile and wave.

I should one day express my road rage, I'm sure the inner-therapist inside me wants me to express something.

Next time I'm driving and someone stupid happens, I'll smile and wave. When the other person is dazed and confused by my kind act, I'll engage Warp 2 on my NCC-1701 Chevy Lumina and run them off the road. I'll then stop. Again, I'll smile and wave.

The above acts are pure fiction. I'm not violent and I am not a Star Trek fan.
