Niedermayer

TSN is reporting that Rob Niedermayer has not received a suitable offer from an NHL team and may be headed to Russia to play in the KHL this season.

Out of curiosity.....what happened that you have a dislike on him?

I watched him play for the Panthers where he didn't try. And embarrassed himself by wiffing an empty net goal at the end of the game. I don't hate him, but I don't like him. Hate is reserved for Bryan Murray, Michael Yormark, and others in that special class.

He also hit about as hard as J-Bo did, and was usually caught skating in circles when he played here. There were many times where I was forced to yell "Hit him with your purse Robbie," if that helps explain it at all.

Devils add veteran Rob Niedermayer

    Veteran center Rob Niedermayer, the brother of former Devils defenseman Scott Niedermayer, signed a one-year contract with the team on Friday, adding depth to a squad that lost John Madden to free agency over the summer.

    The deal is worth $1 million, a source told ESPN.com.
