APPLE ][ and APPLE //gs VERSIONS

Many people have asked for our adventure game software for the Apple ][ series although we no longer actively sell it. In an effort to please those who want this software, it is posted here. By downloading it, you agree to all terms and conditions posted on this web page and any future modifications thereof.

You may download these programs for your own personal use only. You may not redistribute this software in any fashion whatsoever. If someone wants it, they must download it themselves. This software may not be copied or sold. Full copyright is retained by the author.

To use this software you will need to read and follow these basic instructions:

  1. You must understand there is no obligation on our part to provide any technical support. However, if you e-mail us and we will try to help you.
  2. THIS SOFTWARE IS NOT RELEASED INTO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN. IF YOU WANT IT, YOU MUST DOWNLOAD YOUR OWN PERSONAL COPY HERE. IT MAY NOT BE INCLUDED IN COLLECTIONS, GIVEN AWAY, POSTED ELSEWHERE, OR OTHERWISE DISTRIBUTED.
  3. You need a Macintosh or Macintosh Compatible with DiskCopy -- or a program that can read DiskCopy images -- and Stuffit or a program that can decode Stuffit archives.
  4. You will need a 3.5" Floppy Drive for your Macintosh or Macintosh Compatible.
  5. You need a 3.5" 800K (or bigger) Floppy Drive for the Apple ][. (In theory Mines, Mines2, Pits, and Casino Games will fit on a 5.25" disk).
  6. For the Apple ][ you need an Apple //e or //c, 64K RAM, and 80 column support. The Apple IIgs is supported out of the box. Compatibility with Apple II clones and/or emulation software has not been determined.
  7. To read the documentation, you will need a Macintosh with Word Perfect 3.5 -- WordPerfect GS should also be able to read the files; users of other word processors may be able to read these files with a bit of effort. Download the documentation.
  8. You will need to download one of the serial numbers files. This serial number file must be placed in the BOOTDIR directory of the image that disk copy makes.
  9. You will need to use a file typing utility to change the file-type to INT -- you can save it as a one-line text file with no return at the end of the line. You can even cut and paste it from your screen. DO NOT TRY TO USE THE APPLE IIGS SERIAL NUMBER EXCEPT ON AN APPLE IIGS: BAD THINGS CAN HAPPEN!
  10. We will be happy to try and fix bugs in any software posted here if you report them via e-mail. That doesn't mean we will fix them. It means we will try, if we have time -- or more accurately, if I have time.

Do NOT rename any files: they are in all capital letters and CASE SENSITVE!

These TRS-80 versions were created for TRSDOS 6.2 and never released. The programs were converted from our old tape versions before we ultimately had to stop marketing TRS-80 software.
